He works as the production manager for the grammy award-winning 20-piece mambo band Pacific Mambo Orchestra. He continues to be busy making new music of his own and with independent artists, his own band Generation Esmeralda, developing new talent, and producing events for cities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
“2023 is still quite active, and while I haven’t heard a lot of new records from the alternative country underground yet, this is easily one of the best LPs I’ve listened to so far of any genre.” - Mindy McCall
““World at War” is a call to action... it stands up against modern protest rock acts and proves that Goings is still at the top of his game after more than 50 years in the music industry. Fans of classic rock, protest music, and powerful vocals won’t want to miss this one.” - Nicole Killian
““World At War” is a must-listen. It’s a powerful track that delivers an important message without sacrificing the artistry and craftsmanship that makes good music great. With Late Check In set to release this spring, it’s clear that Jimmy Goings is back and better than ever.” - Garth Thomas
““World At War.” It’s a song that demands your attention and leaves a lasting impression. While it’s easy to get caught up in the flashy, disposable pop music of today, it’s artists like Goings who remind us that music can still be a force for change. Late Check In is shaping up to be an album worth waiting for, and if “World At War” is any indication, it’s going to be a standout release in 2023.” - Cleopatra Patel
“its relevance in today’s world is a testament to Goings’ ability to tap into universal themes that remain as timely and impactful now as they did in 1980.” - Heather Savage
